I've been working on a computer game called MazeQuest.

The game is for a project in multimedia class. We've had a few months to
make a multimedia application of our own choice and to document all choices
and considerations we've made in the design.

I chose to make a small computer game with lots of POV-Ray graphics and
animations in it. :) A few images from the game can be seen in
povray.binaries.images.

The concept is extremely simple and the gameplay is not very good, but you
can always just look at it as an extended graphics gallery. ;)

The game is about 2.7 MB. The first beta is up now for anyone interested.
It's just a zip file that you have to download and unzip.

The game runs on Windows and requires ActiveX if I'm not mistaken.
Furthermore it apparently requires a not-too-slow computer - I've been
developing the game at school where it runs fine and it also runs fine on
our 1 GHz computer at home, but on my Pentium 150 it messes completely up
and then crashes... :(

There are also some problems with the animations getting a red tint for some
reason. Restarting the game sometimes help for that.

I have made the game with an authoring tool that keeps me far away from any
actual program code, so all such problems are not my fault!

One more thing to keep in mind is that the game is foremost made as a school
project - and while it probably impresses my teacher, it probably looks
rather dump if you interpret it as a serious attempt at making an actual
game...

Ok, I think I've warned you enough by now.

I haven't had time to set up a webpage for the game, but it can be
downloaded from here:

Feedback is much appreciated as always!

PS, Sam Benge (SamuelT) just mailed me. He's lurking on these newsgroups but
are unfortunately not able to post at the moment. I should tell you all
"Howdy!" from him. :)
